Presentation at the Oklahoma Hospital Association

I just finished a presentation at the Oklahoma Hospital Association annual convention on Hospitals and Social Media. I  joined Lee Aase and David Harlow to share best practices, ROI, legal implications and many other topics.

I want to thank everyone involved at OHA for hosting us – these folks know how to put on a good show!

My presentation includes new slides about the Scott & White use of social media during the Fort Hood crisis.

  1. Thanks for mentioning us (Scott & White) Ed in your latest presentation.

So grateful we had these accounts in place before the horrific incident. Some of these accounts were as little as ten days old prior to the event.

  2. Robert says:

I had no idea how many hospitals use social media to connect with the community.

  3. Ed, yours is an excellent and concise summation of health care organizational understanding of social media.
I’m especially interested in it as a part of preventive medicine and public health, and corporate wellness, in which there should be a demonstrable ROI (see, e.g., Full Yield in the NYTimes last week…I think they are on the right track, but have yet to see the savings promised).
Keep up the good work, and thanks.
    JL
