The last guy to get a blog

“What took you so long?” Beats me – I’ve used the Internet since 1993, and made a living from it since 1995. Along the way I’ve done a bit of everything – Web design, content creation, web marketing, search engine optimization, site management, consulting, etc.  Since 1999, I’ve run the Web program at the University of Maryland Medical System, a job that provides endless opportunities to create, test and play.

But recently, after using Twitter and becoming part of that community, I felt a need for  my own place. There are ideas that need more than 140 characters to express, and discussions that shouldn’t get lost in an endless stream of Tweets.  This is my place for those ideas.

I do agree.. some things/topics require more than 140 characters and.. I look forward to participating in many more in depth explorations.

I genuinely look forward to learning from your many years of insight regarding how hospitals, specifically, think about the internet.

  2. Congratulations, Ed, on jumping onto (or into) the blogosphere.

Since I just started my own last week (hope you’ll check it out:-), I appreciate your desire to more fully express what’s important to you to us, and look forward to your insights as I’m sure they will inform my own about the world of healthcare (and no doubt other things as well).
